Villages of Urbana Blue Crabs

I am very excited to be back with the Blue Crabs for our fourth season! 

In addition to coaching Blue Crabs, I also teach English and coach the Swim and Dive Team at Seneca Valley High School in Germantown and I am the Advanced Seniors Coach at RMSC-Olney. 

We have an amazing team, coaching staff, and community, and I know that it is going to be another great summer!

Coach Brad

My name is Alyssa Davies and I am excited to kick off another season with this amazing community! I have been a member of the Urbana swim teams since 2011 and transitioned from junior coach to assistant coach in 2022, making this my fifth season as a coach and fourth season with the Blue Crabs! I am currently a student at the University of Maryland studying Hearing and Speech Sciences and intending to pursue a career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. 

Swim team is my favorite part of the summer because of the family-like atmosphere and opportunity to contribute to the growth of swimmers. I’m looking forward to instilling my love for summer swim in all new and returning team members and building meaningful relationships with families. 

Summer 2026 is going to be the best season yet! 

Coach Alyssa

My name is Hailey Cronan, and I’m a student at Babson College studying legal studies and economics. There, I’m a member of the swimming and diving team. 

I’ve been swimming for 14 years, starting at age 6 with my local summer team. Over the years, my love for the sport has grown, and I’m excited to share that passion with the Blue Crabs. 

As a several-time state qualifier and Eastern Zone championship qualifier, I look forward to bringing my experience to the team and helping swimmers learn, grow, and, most importantly, have fun. I can’t wait to meet you all! Let’s make this season the best one yet. 

Coach Hailey

My name is Brenna Davies and I am very excited to be an assistant coach for the Blue Crabs this summer! 

For the past ten years, I’ve competed on an Urbana summer swim team and have proudly been part of the Blue Crabs since the team first began. Summer swim has always been the best part of my summer and I’m eager to share this excitement with every member of the team. As a former junior coach, I have valued the opportunity to work with younger swimmers in such a positive and supportive environment. I am looking forward to helping swimmers grow in their skills and love for the sport.

Coach Brenna

My name is Jeremy Dwoskin and I am excited to be a first year assistant coach for the 2026 Blue Crabs season! 

I am a rising senior at Urbana HS and I have been swimming since I was five years old and I am now a competitive swimmer for Fox Swim Club. I am also a member of the Urbana High School Swim and Dive team and will serve as a Captain for the upcoming swim season. In my free time I enjoy golfing and hanging out with friends and family. 

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and a great season ahead!

Coach Jeremy

My name is Mary Pullen, and I'm looking forward to starting my second season on this team. 

I have been swimming since I was 4 years old, starting with two summer swim teams including our sister team the Seahawks. I look forward to bringing help to future swimmer and having a fun time with all I have learned in my 3 years of highschool swim! 

I am excited to be part of this community and team once again!

Coach Mary

My name is Shannon Shen, and I am excited to join the Blue Crabs as an assistant coach this summer! 

I have been swimming for twelve years. I started with summer swimming and eventually switched to year-round swimming with the Frederick County YMCA Swim Team. I also swam all four years for high school at Urbana, and I was captain during my senior year. 

I can't wait to get to know everyone and I am looking forward to helping swimmers build their confidence and skills and have fun in the water!
