Declaring Swimmers and Relays
Hi Everyone,
I hope that you all had a great weekend and a great Father's Day! To echo the email that went out yesterday, it was amazing to see how fast everyone swam and even more amazing to see how our team supported one another and made it such a fun environment! Let's keep that up!
As a quick reminder, it is extremely important that you #1 Declare your swimmers as Attending or Not Attending each meet and #2 be prepared to swim in Relays or indicate as much when you Declare. It is possible to indicate that you are "Attending, No Relays," or you can also put a note to the coaches into your declaration.
This past weekend, we had a lot of swimmers who were expected to compete in the final relay leave early. Please keep in mind that each relay has 3-4 other swimmers who are counting on you to participate so that they can participate, as well. Additionally, on a team this large, there are many swimmers who are hoping for the privilege to compete in a relay who may be left out on a particular week. We understand that being there from start to end is a big commitment, but if you are unable to do so, please let us know upon declaring your swimmer so that we can give everyone an opportunity to participate.
If you have any questions about how to do this, please check feel free to email me or to check in during practice on Monday or Tuesday evening.
Thanks very much and Go Blue Crabs!
Thanks,
Coach Brad
