Hi everyone,

I hope that you are doing well. I wanted to clarify a few items regarding Thursday night’s Raft Party:

First, please understand that we have, in essence, canceled practice and replaced it with a Blue Crabs and Mini Crabs-only raft party. We are also opening the pool to more swimmers for a longer time, again suggesting that 10 and Under swimmers come from 5:00 to 6:30 and 11 and Over swimmers attend from 6:30 to 8:00, but you may adjust this if your family has multiple age groups represented or if your assigned time does not work for your schedule.

Because this is not an official practice, the swimmers-to-coaches ratio will be much higher than a typical practice. We are asking that you provide the same adult supervision that you would provide during normal pool hours outside of practice time, potentially including getting into the water with your swimmer to ensure their safety. Particularly for the Mini Crabs, they will not have nearly the level of supervision from coaches that they typically have. If the numbers get extremely high, it is possible that we will have to limit the number of swimmers in the water at one time and assign groups to keep the numbers lower. Please be willing to work with the coaches and guards if this becomes necessary.

Finally, please keep in mind that all other rules for when the pool is closed to the public remain in effect, including the fact that swimmers and families must remain on the competition pool side of the facility, regardless of whether you are in or out of the water.

We are looking forward to a fun and safe activity on Thursday! Because this is our first time hosting a party of this type, we thank you in advance for your cooperation in making sure that everything runs smoothly and safely.
