Hi Blue Crabs!

Thank you for making the 4th edition of the Blue Crabs another fantastic season! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate at our end-of-season party. This email is our season wrap-up, which includes a brief recap of the All-Star Meet and our Awards, as well as information about picking up ribbons/awards/certificates, and a look ahead to our 2027 season.

ALL-STAR MEET RECAP

This season we had 24 swimmers participate in the FSSL All-Star Meet who came away with 20 top-3 finishes (5 first, 10 second, 5 third). Congratulations to all of our swimmers and a huge shout-out to our podium finishers: Roman Gonzalez (11-12 - 2nd in 50 free, 1st in 50 breast, 2nd in 50 back, 3rd in 100 free), Madison Koehn (7-8 - 1st in 25 back), Alberto Nevares (11-12 - 3rd in 50 back, 3rd in 50 fly), Carmen Nevares (13-14 - 1st in 100 IM, 2nd in 50 breast, 3rd in 50 back, 3rd in 100 free), Colette Nicholes (7-8 - 2nd in 25 free, 2nd in 25 breast, 2nd in 50 free, 2nd in 25 fly), Spencer Stanley (13-14 - 2nd in 50 back), Miles Thomas (8 & under - 1st in 25 breast, 2nd in 25 fly), Eric Yi (9-10 - 2nd in 25 back), Jarrett Zhou (15-18 - 1st in 100 IM). You all are an impressive group, and we look forward to seeing what you can do next year! You can check out the full meet results here.

We also saw 6 new team records set by Roman Gonzalez (11-12 50 free -29.71), Carmen Nevares (13-14 50 back - 34.62 and 100 free - 1:04.96), and Colette Nicholes (7-8 25 free - 18.21, 25 breast - 24.75, and 50 free - 42.14). Well done! You can check out our record book here.

One more shout-out goes to our outstanding coaching staff! Each one of our coaches plays such an important role in making the Blue Crabs swim team what it is and we are so grateful for each of you!

2026 AWARD/RIBBON/CERTIFICATE PICKUP

All awards, certificates, pins, and ribbons that have not been distributed are available for porch pick-up at 8695 Satinwood Drive. All items are in your family’s folder in alphabetical order by swimmer’s last name or in a manila envelope. The bins will be available from July 27 through August 3. Please swing by and pick-up your items!

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2027

For all you planners, here are some tentative dates for next season. These are subject to change but should give you an idea of what the 2027 season holds.

• April 1 – registration opens for returning swimmers
• April 15 – registration opens for new swimmers
• May 23 – Meet & Greet Popsicle Night
• June 1 – First day of Practice for Blue Crabs
• June 7 – First day of Practice for Mini Crabs
• June 12 – Time Trials
• June 19 – Home Meet
• June 26 – Away Meet
• June 29 – Relay Carnival
• July 10 – Away Meet
• July 17 – Home Meet
• July 20 – Mighty Mini Meet
• July 24 – Division Championship Meet (Away)
• July 25 – End of Season Party
• July 31 – FSSL All-Star Meet

END OF SEASON REQUEST

As a team, we cannot exist or function without the support of our Homeowner’s Association and management office.
